DRESS CODE FOR LAS VEGAS CLUBS
We get asked this a lot: Is there a dress code for the Las Vegas Clubs? The answer is most definitely YES! All the dayclubs and nightclubs in Las Vegas have a dress code. Whether you have Bottle Service or you are on the Guest List, you will need to adhere strictly to the guidelines below.
The Las Vegas Girls have it easy compared to the guys, and we will break it down by women and men.
I don't know about you, but when I lived in Chicago and I would plan a trip to Vegas for a weekend, I would go all out and buy new clothes. I looked at Vegas as a unique opportunity to renew the summer wardrobe. Nowadays, I feel like the millennial generation doesn’t dress up as much; however, I would encourage you to up your game when you come to Las Vegas. We like to say, dress to impress!
In my Ultimate Guide to Dress Code for Las Vegas Clubs, I go over all you need to know for the clubs, pools and getting past the security personal.
Dress Code for the Vegas Nightclubs 2020
***Important Information***
Before we begin, I want to make it clear that we are not the club or casino security, so we do not have the final call on what they will or won’t allow. What we provide below are best practices, but ultimately it is still a discretionary call on by the club’s security.
We have seen many instances where people who are wearing the same outfit, and one gets treated differently by security. This used to happen a lot more in our Chicago days, much more than it does in Vegas, but it still happens. So, understand these are guidelines and please don't hold us accountable if security decides to be on one for a particular day or night.
What Can Men Wear to the Nightclubs?

Business casual or formal attire is preferred and recommended. Remember, you are going out to impress. A lot of our customers like to wear sport coats with either a V-neck or a dress shirt underneath. If that's a little too business-like for your taste, then consider a nice collared shirt or a button-up shirt and a pair of stylish jeans. Usually, you can find some nice gear at Express, Zara and Nordstrom. On another note, we get a lot of conventions in town so wearing a nice pair of upscale dress pants to a nightclub is a different look than wearing a pair of dress pants to a conference. For shoes, we highly recommend a pair of leather dress shoes; however, most clubs are pretty lenient with style these days although regular gym shoes will not be allowed.
The following are not allowed in Vegas Nightclubs:
- -Shorts or Capris
- -Sandals
- -Sports Hats
- -Timberlands
- -Work Boots
- -Baggy Pants
- -Jean Shorts
- -Sweatpants
- -Jerseys and Athletic Gear
- -Crappy T-Shirts and Cut Offs
See the dayclub attire below for the Night Swim parties at Drai's, Encore at Night and XS during the summer months.

The Story of the T-Shirt
As noted above, I said “crappy” t-shirts are not allowed. Technically t-shirts are not allowed at all. However, the younger generation has brought out a new trend that we call “stylish” t-shirts. If a t-shirt has a cool print or looks like a stylish brand name, it will likely pass the dress code. But a t-shirt that you picked up at a convention booth for free with some random logo, probably isn't going to cut it.
The Skinny on Sneakers in a Nightclub
By now, we have all heard and seen a pair of Yeezys. These are popular shoes to wear out and comfortable as well. More often than not, you'll find the clubs will allow these, but it is at the Club’s discretion when you arrive at the door.
Other possible sneakers are shoes like Adidas or Vans, and if they're upscale and stylish, you can usually get away with wearing them. If what you want to wear might be questionable, hit up your Surreal Host, send us a picture and we will send it to the Club to see if security will approve.

Air Jordan Tip
The Skinny on, Air Jordan sneakers at Drai's and Drai's Beach, they will let you wear them, but they will stick you with a $100 podium tip!
Sunglasses
We've all seen that dude who likes to wear sunglasses in the nightclub; and there could be several reasons for it, but regardless, it looks out of place so please save your sunglasses for the dayclubs.
Hats

Certain hats are in and they are fresh. Check out the picture with Kid Rock on the left - that's a stylish hat – but hey, he's Kid Rock so of course they are going to let him in.
Security is biased toward people who purchase tables, and for whatever their reason, they may not let you in with what you are wearing, then you get inside and see people wearing the same or similar clothing you were denied - unfortunately it is what it is and you have to deal with it.
What Do Women Wear to the Nightclubs?

One question we get asked all the time, "Can women wear jeans to the Nightclub?" Yes, you are allowed to wear jeans as long as they are not baggy, ripped or worn out. Think stylish and fashionable jeans and when in doubt, remember upscale casual! A few good rules of thumb, always dress to impress; stay away from athletic gear and please keep your shoes on - not only is it dangerous, it's not a good look! If you can't make it all night in your heels, then consider another pair of shoes.

What Do Men Wear to Las Vegas Pools?

To keep things simple, you have to wear swim attire. I am not sure why some people find this so difficult to understand! It’s simple, SWIM TRUNKS, a T-SHIRT or TANK-TOP, and flip flops, gym shoes or sandals.
The following are not allowed at the Beach Clubs
-Cargo shorts
-Pants
-Khaki Pants or Shorts
-Athletic gear of any kind, shorts, jerseys, etc.
Sunglasses and hats are encouraged here, and don't forget to bring your SPF sunscreen; we've seen so many people over the years ruin their trip due to a severe sunburn. Check out the SPF Sunscreen Guide.

What do Women Wear to the Las Vegas Pools?

Ladies bikinis are encouraged, one-piece suits are excellent as well, but you will need to wear a cover-up walking to and from the venue.
As far as the best foot attire - sandals, flip flops, pool shoes and those pool wedges are bomb.
Note: They do not allow bags unless you have a Bungalow or a Cabana. They will make you check your bag at the front, and if you are wearing an athletic jersey, they will make you remove it and check it as well. There are no exceptions, so please, no jerseys and no bags.
