What is the Foundation Room?
High atop the Mandalay Bay Hotel, you will find the world-famous Foundation Room, a stunning venue that combines a restaurant, lounge, and nightclub with unique décor and spectacular views of the Las Vegas Strip.
Previously only accessible via a private elevator, this distinctive club is now open to the public, adding a bit of Asian and Indian fusion to the ambiance of a traditional Las Vegas club every night of the week.
We like to call this sophisticated clubbing, and oh, did we mention this a celebrity hangout? Yes, you read that correctly. You will likely see some "rock stars" come in after the shows at their big brother concert venue, the House of Blues, which is in the same building. The Foundation Room is a perfect way to soak in the Las Vegas club scene.

Venue Highlights
- A private 1,126 square-foot patio overlooking the iconic Vegas Strip.
- Foundation Room is a sexy, high-end rooftop nightclub.
- Handcrafted cocktails served from an Asian and Indian themed venue.
- One-of-a-kind artwork and exquisite décor.
- A perfect spot for Instagram moments.
- This venue is worthy of a bachelor/bachelorette party, any celebration, or a much-needed night out.
Location
The Live Nation Venue is at The Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino, 3950 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
If you arrive by limo, cab, your own car, or rideshare, have them drop you off at the main Mandalay Bay, not Delano or Four Seasons. Walk-in, head left, past the hotel check-in, and you can't miss the bank of elevators.

Entertainment
Management usually books a popular resident artist on the decks that will move the crowd. The music is what we like to call Open-Format in Sin City – a mix of EDM, Top-40s, and Hip-Hop all mixed in to get just about everyone some popular beats of choice. For the latest events, head over to our Foundation Room Events Page, enter your trip dates and check out who is performing.

What does the Foundation Room Las Vegas Guestlist Get Me?
"The List" is pretty similar at all the nightclubs in town. You will need to submit your entry on this site no later than 8:15 p.m. on the event night. We will text you the details for your night to make sure you are on the same page. If you have a group of all guys, you might want to consider Foundation Room bottle service, paid VIP entry or tickets. The guest list does not guarantee entry.
Occasionally, we offer some deals at this club. For the most part, the guestlist is a great option to gain entrance. The list has an even ratio rule – guys must be the same amount in a group to ladies or more ladies than men, but not more men than ladies. Some nights the ratio doesn't matter. Submit a form, and we will let you know.
This club gets packed on after concert events and holiday weekends, so you might want to consider tickets, they will guarantee entry, and the ticket guarantee applies to both ladies and gentlemen. Usually, on Saturday nights, when they have a popular artist, they have a tight guestlist, so there might be a bit of a wait. On holiday and special event weekends like Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Electric Daisy Carnival, they will likely not have a guest list at all – the only way in will be via tickets, paid VIP entry, or bottle service. Hit us up, and we will let you in on the deal.
The Guest List Benefits
The most significant benefit is the list usually gets you a no cover charge or a reduced cover charge. The downside, especially on big event nights, there will be a long guest list line, if they even have a list.
What is the Cost of the Foundation Room Guest List?
Gender | Cover Charge | Guest List |
---|---|---|
Males | $20-$75+ | Some nights are free with an even ratio. |
Females | $20-$50+ | The majority of the nights are free. |
*Note: Submit your guest list entry, and we will get back to you with the details.
**Foundation Room requires an even ratio on the guest list on many nights, meaning the same number of ladies and men in a group, or more ladies than men, but not more men than ladies.
***On some nights, Foundation Room offers an open bar or drink ticket for ladies for a fixed amount of time. We will be happy to set you up with that.
When there is a popular artist on Fridays and Saturdays, they will usually have a hefty cover. For men, you can expect $30 to $75+ each, and ladies usually $20-$50+ each. Get on the guestlist for:
- Ladies comp admission.
- Men comp or reduced.
- We recommend early arrival before 10:30 p.m. as they tend to close the guest list early.
- Hard cut off for list at 1 a.m. unless they close the list early.
The Foundation Room Insider's Guide

The biggest insider tip I have for you is that on a bigger event or artist nights, arrive around 9:30 p.m., get in line, and you will get in fairly quickly if they even have a list. Any time after that, you can expect a 1-2 hour wait. I am dead serious about this wait! We hate lines, and we hate our customers to have to wait in line, so consider my insider tips. Lines can ruin an evening, and even with the guestlist, you still run the risk of not getting in. Talk about a bummer – you wait in line for three hours and leave without entry into the club. So, if waiting in line is not your thing, they have tickets that include express entry or consider our VIP entry service. Both options guarantee admission.
Ladies, my insider tip is they offer FREE drink tickets on certain nights. Ask your Surreal promoter for the deal on this.
What is the Foundation Room Dress Code?

The purpose of a club dress code is to provide advice on appropriate attire, so you fit in and get in. We have a complete guide to the dress codes at all Las Vegas clubs. For women, it's pretty simple. Foundation Room is a classy club, so you will want to dress the part. If you look like you are heading to a college baseball game or the town bar, you will be out of place. Gentlemen – shorts, sandals, athletic gear, hats, gym shoes, and baggy gear are not allowed. Dress shoes, a collared or designer shirt, and a nice pair of jeans or pants will fit the bill. If you wear Air Jordans, they will likely not let you in. No one wants to show up to a club and get turned away for being dressed inappropriately, so please take the time to review our guide.
Security

Club security in Vegas is essential to maintain a safe and secure environment and to prevent people under the age of 21 from obtaining and consuming alcohol. For all club entry in Vegas, you must be 21 to get in, and you must have an accurate picture on your government-issued ID. Although marijuana is legal in Vegas, the casinos operate under a federal license, so weed and/or vape pens are not allowed. If you are not from the U.S., you will need your passport. They do not accept foreign government-issued IDs. Please read our comprehensive guide to Las Vegas Nightclub Security.
