The world-famous Drai's After Hours is located in the basement of The Cromwell Hotel. This iconic underground club opened in 1997, and today, it is the most in-demand after-hours on the planet. Club Ego
Club EGO, located minutes from the Strip, is billed as "the leading afterhours club in Las Vegas with the greatest house, techno, and tech house experience." This classy underground hotspot offers a high-energy atmosphere, state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and lasers, and a contemporary designed interior with a great layout that creates the perfect vibe for late-night party-goers. Terrace Afterhours
If you want an afterhours club that offers breathtaking panoramic city views that include the famous Las Vegas Skyline from its open-air rooftop, dancing under the stars until the sun comes up, and top-tier resident and guest DJs, you’ll find all this and more at the world-famous Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club just minutes from the Strip. Las Vegas Strip Clubs
Before the Sin City nightclubs became a thing, the Las Vegas strip clubs were the first "after-hours" clubs, especially since most were open 24/7 back in the day. For 2023(Make Dynamic) most of the gentlemen's clubs are open from 4 AM – 8 AM on weekends, and only a few, like Crazy Horse 3, Hustlers Vegas, and Peppermint Hippo, are open 24 hours, which makes them an excellent option for a late-night destination. Brian Pfeiffer’s Final Word on After Hours Clubs in Las Vegas
There was a time when afterhours in Las Vegas was fun, back in the days when Drai’s Afterhours had tech house music with resident DJ Chris Garcia running the programming. Usually, around 5 AM or so, a lot of the local Las Vegas strippers would get off work and come rolling in. A mix of locals, tourists, and of course, Vegas party girls was the right combination to make a great party. 🥳 The “Old Drai’s” used to be in the basement of Bill’s Gambling Hall, then when they renovated Bill’s into the Cromwell, Drai’s was inside the Bally’s for a couple of years before returning to the Cromwell basement. Bill’s is long gone, Bally’s is now Horseshoe Hotel and Casino, and the once lively tech house after party changed the programming to all hip hop, with some Latin flair on Thursdays. The vibe is not bad if you are into Hip Hop music and Latin beats. The crowd, however, is mainly Drai’s Nightclub clientele. When you see some local strippers or some of the old-school local crowd, management usually has an event like an anniversary party. Other than that, you have a better chance of seeing the abominable snowman than running into the remnants of old tech house days.
So where has the tech house crowd gone? That crowd has moved out of Sin City or grown up. I've seen the local Industry crowd completely disappear over the last several years, not because of the Illness. It was already happening way before that. For quite a while, tech house music kind of fell out of style. Now it's back in style internationally and at the festivals and progressive cities like Miami.
But unfortunately, the crowd that follows that kind of music here is thin, and the two places that have a Vegas late-night party are Club Ego and the Terrace Afterhours. What's crazy to me as you have all these big clubs, such as Zouk Nightclub, Hakkasan Nightclub, Marquee nightclub, Xs nightclub, and Omnia nightclub, all playing the majority EDM music, which is considered dance music, so you would think they'd be thousands of people looking for a place to go party after those clubs? It baffles me that more tourists do not party after the nightclubs.
Maybe they go to their suite to party or a titty bar. One thing is for certain; they are not going to the tech house after hours in Las Vegas.
As much as I like the people that go to these places, the crowd is always the same 100-150 locals that show up every week, no offense to my local guys and gals, but I would rather drink a beer at Steiner’s and play some video poker than burn it down with the party crowd here. I am not sure where the “good-looking” and “fun locals” went, but they have all but vanished. I wish I could teleport back to 2008 to 2015 and show these new kids what a real afterhours was, but unfortunately, those days have passed in Sin City.
You can still see what a real after-party looks like by heading to Miami for Club Space and Club E11even. We had that here “back in the day;” too bad those days are over here and I don’t see them coming back!
